The Positive Effects And Negative Effects Of An EBook Reader

If you look around you will see that there are now quite a lot of eBook readers that are readily available on the retail market today. Each one of these eBook readers can allow you to take thousands of books with you to read wherever you want to go.

The newest eBook reader to hit the market is the iPad. This beauty has the added bonus of coming with a color screen and backlighting unlike many of the other eBook readers.

The only complaint with this is that the color screen tends to give you eye fatigue if you use it for a long time continuously. This is much the same problem as when using laptops. The other eBook readers such as the Kindle from Amazon have an unlit display screen which can be much easier on the eyes. This type of eBook reader is also easier to use when in natural daylight surroundings.

There are now programs available on the market that can convert your phone or even a PDA into a reading device. The eReader just simply converts the device and allows it to be used just like an eBook reader.

There are two sides however to these programs. On the downside it can be quite hard on your eyes using a phone as a reading device. While on the upside the download is free and this makes it a nice cheap option for anyone that owns a smart phone.

For regular readers that like to take advantage of these things the Barnes and Noble Nook or the Kindle from Amazon are probably the most popular of the eBook readers available today.

These devices also come with dictionaries and Wi-Fi as well as touch screens and paper thin display screens that are easy on the eye and easy to handle. It has been said however that they do not have the versatility of the smart phone or the iPad.

Any of these options mentioned are a great affordable way to be able to take books with you to read wherever you go.
